How to Get to Downtown Pittsburgh Hotels from Pittsburgh International Airport

Pittsburgh Regional Transit’s 28X Airport Flyer

1. Proceed to the baggage claim area of Pittsburgh International Airport (lower level). 

2. Exit through “Door 2” in the baggage claim area and you will find the PRT bus stop for the 28X Airport Flyer. The 28X operates every 30 minutes. 

3. Click on the “activate ticket” button on the Ready2Ride™ mobile tracking app to activate your digital pass as the bus approaches the stop. Click here to learn more about the Ready2Ride™ app.

4. Secure your luggage safely in the designated area of the bus. Please keep in mind that the driver is unable to assist with your luggage or any personal items you will be transporting with you.

5. Exit the bus in downtown Pittsburgh. Alert the operator to your stop by using the pull cord on the bus. If you are unsure when you are approaching your stop, please ask the driver for assistance. 

Exit at one of the following 28X Airport Flyer stops along Wood Street in downtown Pittsburgh to access the following hotels:

  • Westin Pittsburgh - Liberty Avenue @ Wood Street - Proceed to Liberty & 10th.
  • AC Hotel - Liberty Avenue @ Wood Street - ​ Proceed to Liberty & 11th.
  • Courtyard Pittsburgh - Liberty Avenue @ Wood Street - Proceed to Liberty & 10th. Turn left on 10th and proceed to Penn Avenue.
  • Drury Plaza - Liberty Avenue @ Wood Street - Proceed to Liberty Avenue & 10th. Turn right on 10th.
  • Embassy Suites - Liberty Avenue @ Wood Street - ​ Proceed to Wood Street & Sixth Avenue. Proceed to Sixth Street & Smithfield.
  • Hampton Inn - Liberty Avenue @ Wood Street - Proceed to Liberty & 11th. Turn left on 11th and then right on Smallman Street.
  • Kimpton - Liberty Avenue@ Wood Street - Proceed to Wood & Sixth. Continue on Sixth to Sixth & William Penn Place.
